Stanley Park is the largest park in Vancouver and one of the largest in the world; it is the most visited tourist point and, without a doubt, my favourite place in town. There you can have a quiet picnic surrounded by the most beautiful views in the city; you can even glimpse part of the historical record of the first Canadian nations on the totem poles distributed through the park or enjoy one of its beaches.

Another recommended and greatly appreciated activity is to rent a bike or a pair of roller skates and ride the 8,8 km around the park. Vancouver Aquarium, is inside Stanley Park, with species from different continents which promote the preservation and environmental education. It is a must-do for the entire family!

Other attractions worth visiting in Vancouver: Granville Island: Here is the Granville Public Market with spices, fresh food, handcraft shops, restaurants. Capilano Bridge: Park where the main attraction is the wooden suspension bridge from the Indiana Jones movies.

Deep Cove: Park near Vancouver.

Canada Place: Built for the Expo 86, is a landmark in the city.

Take Note

You can walk quietly and safely on the streets of Vancouver. However, you should avoid Stanley Park at night, specially the trails inside the park.
