There are many options to spend New Year’s Eve: New York, Paris, Rio de Janeiro… all very interesting, but I will tell you a little about the New Year’s Eve I spent in Aconcagua.

Located in a military area, Santa Teresa National Park is a fascinating place, designed with an aesthetic sense, keeping the ecological balance. It started in the surroundings of Santa Teresa Fortress, in 1762. After being abandoned and laid waste, there was a restoration in 1928, and has been taken care of by Uruguayan military men since then.

Four 4×4 Pickup Trucks from Marrakesh to the desert, crossing the Alto Atlas mountains, stopping at touristic points and passing by Berber village, an ancient civilization. We drove 1000 km in two days, through arid landscapes that changed colors and vegetation along the way. Some regions did not have any kind of plants, like in the canyons ­ 2700 m high ­ and the rocks made an incredible symmetric design.
