What I really wanted to do in Bonito was to dive in crystal clear rivers and swim with freshwater fish, an experience missing on my trips. I started in Barra do Rio Sucuri.
Poço Azul is a must for those visiting Chapada Diamantina. A crystal water-filled cave where it is possible to see the rocky bottom, even at 16m deep.
If you are a fan of ecotourism and enjoy diving you cannot miss this incredible and one-of-a-kind place in Brazil. No sea or mountain compares to Bonito: lots of rivers, waterfalls and indescribable trails!
One of the most beautiful tours in this historical city is a schooner ride on Paraty Bay. Turtles, colored fish, exuberating green areas, warm and clear water are part of the package. Some say the water temperature is usually colder, but for me it was perfect. We took the opportunity to take many pictures and go scuba diving.
The paradise with clear blue water and white sand on the pictures is Los Roques, Venezuela.
There is not much infrastructure in Fernando de Noronha, everything is kind of rustic, but who cares about comfort when you are in a paradise-like beach? The island is rather small, and the city is crossed by a 7 km-road. Vegetation pretty dry most of the time, due to high temperatures and little rain.
The Cayos Cochinos are a group of small islands that seem to be flooded. Cayo Largo del Sur is in the southeastern end of Cuba and comprises several islets, where you can have a boat tour and go diving. It is paradise! I had never seen such green water and thin white sand before. I went diving in a transparent salted sea with colorful fish, coral reef and a shipwreck – all this in pleasant temperature.
