My trips to Italy have always been like a lightning round, but this time I was able to stay for five days. It was great because I could get to know more than PIAZZA DUOMO.
When I arrived in Milan I was welcomed by my friend and client Marlene. She is the owner of the best restaurant of Argentinean meat in Europe, and immediately took me to know her family and have lunch. It was perfect, nice people and excellent food.
I had the chance to know a bit of everything. The Italian cuisine was the best part, everything you eat in Italy is wonderful. The icecreams in Milan are delicious. I suggest that you go to the bars around 7pm, ask for some drinks and order a round of all the entries, with no additional cost – a cultivated habit.
Renting a bike and riding all over town was a great experience, for the city has no ups and downs – but watch out for the traffic, there are no bicycle paths. Anyway, it is good to avoid public transportation or the overpriced taxi fares.
In Milan, besides GALERIA VITTORIO EMMANUELLE and PIAZZA DUOMO, with its spectacular gothic CATHEDRAL, it is compulsory to watch something at TEATRO SCALLA and visit MILANO CENTRALE, one of the most amazing train stations I have ever seen.
Nightlife is just like the people: impersonal and self-centered. No one flirts, but they are all beautiful and elegant. The places are chic and you can see a little of this crazy and adorable Italian people, with their problems and warm heart.
Italy is beautiful and charming like no other place, and Milan is part of that, despite being the most industrialized and polluted city in the country. Take time to enjoy what only big cities offer, especially in terms of food. Remember you are surrounded by the most famous cuisine in the world. In any pub, any train station, whatever you order will surely be good!

TAKE NOTE
Check out Marlene’s restaurant to savor the best of Argentinian cuisine: DON JUAN and DON JUANITO, from chef Diego. Via Altaguardia, 2 – Porta Romana.
Staying at NHOW HOTEL was an event: modern architecture, creative style with contemporary furniture and designer pieces.
