I have already seen lots of kangaroos while visiting wild life parks in Australia. But no one offer the interactive experience as Cavershawn Wild Life Park, near Perth. Those typical animals seems puppis that love our caress. This mom was carrying a big and curious whelp.

A sunny Sunday afternoon is an invitation to go for a walk at Coronel Pedro Osório Square, in the centre of Pelotas. The main attraction is Fonte das Nereidas (water fountain), bought by the Hydraulic Company at an auction in Paris and brought to provide water to the population at the time. Installed by the end of the 19th century and restored in June 2003, it has four Nereids (sea goddesses from Greek mythology on horses). Take your chimarrão and dog, meet friends and have fun. Besides the fountain, it is worthwhile paying attention to the centennial trees and buildings around the square, historical houses that are part of the city culture.

Living here in the metropolitan area of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, I am already used to pass through cargo vessels, gigantic cruiseships, and an infinity of boats, ships, yachts, and so many different embarkments that nothing attracts much my attention. It was not the case this time boating with friends at Port Everglades area last Saturday. We faced the fantastic yatch M/Y “A”.

Seven years ago I finished the preparations for the journey that would inspire the creation of this website. The main goal was visit Macchu Picchu, the Inca’s city that instigates even the less curious person. How did they carry all those rocks and do such perfects constructions on that altitude? There are answers for all faiths, although what really matters is to be there and fell the energy.

Surrounded by maze of shops, smells, ateliers and thousand of people at Marrakesh’s Souks (Central Market), I came across this delicious candy stand. I tried to take closer pictures showing candies details but the owner did not allowed me except if it was from the entire stand. Nevertheless this image brings me good memories from the taste of losing myself in popular markets.

Being thristy at Rome ended with a surprising view: appreciating the Coliseum through a street vendor sight. Looking at this world heritage from this perspective was such a priviliege as well as watching part of the daily routine of someone who spent his days among so much beauty and history.

A beautiful hot sunny day in Camboriú, Santa Catarina. Tourists from all over the world enjoying the beach when all of a sudden the peace was broken by this friendly crab. A little lost and scared, it ran on the sand while I prepared the camera. After some attempts it finally stood still, as if it knew I wanted to take a picture. And it ran away, till it found shelter in the backpack of an Argentinian family, who took care of it for the rest of the day.

Rio Preto is among the most beautiful waterfalls I have ever seen in Brazil. This view was a gift after a long and hot trekking by Janela trail, in Chapada dos Veadeiros. I could see the path taken by the river until go down on Garimpão Waterfall and crashed on 120 meters Cliff.

An unforgettable moment of Mount Roraima trekking was this landscape at base camping. Between Mount Roraima and Kukenán (the background mountain) there is humid forest. From the forest grows a cloud that cover the sky when the night comes. For some minutes the cloud was following the same golden line on the horizon. We all hope that could be a great sunset, but in seconds the cloud covered the sun and brought a storm.

The image from this week is a tribute to the city I chose to live since 2008. São Paulo is loved and hated at the same time from its residents. But anyone who spends a season there can’t stay away for longer. The Latin America’s biggest city is celebrating today 459 years old.
