While I descended the Apennines, towards to Bologna, the sun appeared between the heavy clouds and gave a special colour to landscape. We left the car to enjoy the rest of the day in Parco dei Sassi di Roccamalatina. So I climbed this mountain to reach that cross and see the whole valley from above. It was perfect to finish the tour around Emilia Romagna’s mountains.
Villiers, my current place of residence, is a village in Val-de-Ruz. This valley is surrounded by the mountain range of Jura, the second highest range in Switzerland – after the Alps, of course.
Remembering one of the magical moments of Torres del Paine… I woke up with the early morning lighting my refugio’s room. I was half asleep and lazy to get up when I looked through window and realized that the sky was clean enough to see the Towers. The sun had not rise yet, but those shades of pink and red was a signal of good pictures. I took my camera, my jacket and run out without even washing my face. I almost freeze but the spectacle worth it.

El Chaltén, a newly-founded village due to territory issues with Chile, is growing fast because of tourism. Less than 30 years old, it is the newest town in Argentina. It intends to be the new Bariloche with ski resorts in the winter, trekking, climbing and mountain bike in the summer. It is considered the trekking capital for receiving sportspeople searching for adventure on the two toughest mountains in the world: Fitz Roy and Torre.
I had seen pictures and was delighted with the place. I thought it was amazing, I love mountains – it is more charming when there is snow. I went to Chamonix – Mont-Blanc, Chamrousse and Grenoble.
Mendoza is the perfect place for the fans of extreme sports and good wine. The views in this region of Argentina are beautiful and embrace Aconcagua, the highest mountain in America (only losing to the Himalayas).
Four 4×4 Pickup Trucks from Marrakesh to the desert, crossing the Alto Atlas mountains, stopping at touristic points and passing by Berber village, an ancient civilization. We drove 1000 km in two days, through arid landscapes that changed colors and vegetation along the way. Some regions did not have any kind of plants, like in the canyons 2700 m high and the rocks made an incredible symmetric design.
