Capixaba pie, fish pirão*, capixaba moqueca** and crab are some of the best experiences in Vitória; an island full of mangroves and famous for the best clay pot in Brazil could only be an excellent destination to eat seafood.

People say that the secret of the famous moqueca and pie from Espírito Santo lies in the pot they are cooked in – the one made of clay by the Pot Makers of Goiabeiras: an original handicraft recognized and registered as Brazilian Cultural Heritage.

This emerald watercolor gave me one of the best waterfall bath I already had. At first sight only color impress me but all experience were incredible: the strong flow, the water temperature, the underwater vegetation and find a cave under the waterfall with another shade of blue. All set made the experience complete. This is Cachoeira da Formiga, a hidden place in the middle of Jalapão.

Curaçao was my first trip to the Caribbean. I was expecting to get into a small island, tropical, full of palm tree, several beaches… then I faced a huge oil refinery in an island with desertic vegetation!

While I descended the Apennines, towards to Bologna, the sun appeared between the heavy clouds and gave a special colour to landscape. We left the car to enjoy the rest of the day in Parco dei Sassi di Roccamalatina. So I climbed this mountain to reach that cross and see the whole valley from above. It was perfect to finish the tour around Emilia Romagna’s mountains.

In Barbados I saw the most beautiful sea color water I have ever seen in my life. The entire island is made by corals and this side of the island the Atlantic ocean is influenced by the Caribbean sea. I think this should be the explanation for such vibrant shade of cyan almost phosphorescent. I could spend days in this place only appreciating the view.

I really got impressed with the sunset in Tocantins. I have already seen many incredible ones around Brazil but never six consecutive days in the same region. Besides it was one more beautiful than the other. The first one was in Palmas and then by the routes from Jalapão and in Serra do Espírito Santo. So, my tip for those in province is stop whatever you are doing and just appreciate the sun when that time comes.

Today it’s raining in Dubai for the first time in the year and the feeling is the same as when it snows in Buenos Aires: people taking pictures, walking in the rain without umbrellas, etc. It’s awesome!

Whoever follows me knows I love trails, but since I came to São Paulo (5 years ago) I could not find people who enjoyed the pleasure of walking kilometres in the middle of the nature. One fine day I found a forum on the web, people looking for someone to go on adventures. Just perfect, we have already done some trails and started Nação Trilheira.
