Near to Barcelona there is a place with Roman Empire ruins. The picture shows an ancient amphitheater with the blue ocean behind. Today it is a museum for roman sculptures, which gives the impression of come back in time or like be in a movie scenery.
The history of the park with the world biggest concentration of geysers (those hot water flooding from the earth) began more than 11 thousand years ago. From that time to the very recent past, the Park was used by Native Americans for living, hunting and as route for transportation.
In the 90’s I discovered Pinheira and I became a fan. It’s a place for meet friends and enjoy hours resting on the sand. Among mountains and green sea, who sits on the beach has the view of Florianópolis island, besides de warm water, tranquility and nature. There are two beaches: Baixo and Cima. The photo shows Baixo beach in the early morning hours when fishermen come back from work bringing thousand of gulls in search of food. At the end of the Cima beach is the beginning of a beautiful 2 hours trail to Guarda do Embaú beach.

The Poço Azul (Blue Well) at Chapada Diamantina is one of those places that appear to be from another planet. The water is so transparent that people seem to float. I had lucky to get there exactly in the moment which a beam of the sunlight illuminated the well, leaving him even bluer.
