I spent New Year’s Eve walking in Aconcagua Provincial Park, we had 3-day trekking in a magnificent place with landscape looking like paint.
About one-hour flight away from Mexico City, Aguascalientes, capital of the smallest state in the country has much more than what the name suggests. The origin dates back almost 500 years ago with the discovery of hot springs and reserves of gold and silver. If nowadays the hot springs are no longer a tourist attraction, the city still counts on its architecture, its people with sweet accent and the typical food, some of the main things that travelers look for. Another attraction is Feria de San Marcos, the largest agro-industrial and folklore fair in Mexico.
This time three images are necessary to show how amazing this place is. I am not sure if you could understand me only by writing. Am I right?
Rottnest Island is a paradise in the middle of Western Australia, you cannot miss it when in Perth. And the best way to know it is to ride your bike along the 24 km of asphalted roads, besides the sandy inner roads to get to the hidden beaches. For the not so sporty ones, there a bus line all day, after all, cars are not allowed in the island.
The third largest city in Australia is one of the cities I most liked. It is beautiful, well-kept, with historical buildings and modern architecture. It has large green areas, full of parks, gardens and even an artificial beach. The capital of Queensland is between the mountains and the sea, just a few hours from Gold Coast by train. I was at the beach and went to Brisbane to spend the day, a great choice.
Paulista Avenue is the meeting point of several tribes that becomes different in the end of the year. Besides the usual people, many families comes to see Christmas decoration. The 2,8 km famous street in São Paulo get crowded at night when the lights turn on.
Heat, thirst and landscapes like I have seen nowhere else: this is how the first trail in the red Australian desert started. The goal of the day was to bathe in the river in Kings Canyon and see the lost city from above.
This week’s image is more than special; the photo came in my snail mail straight from Philadelphia. It is from the blogger Dri Lima o Dicas da Dri, who got my name in the secret traveler.
For those who visit Sydney, a whole Day dedicated to the TARONGA ZOO is a must. It is a huge theme park, with a privileged view to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Besides being close to native Australian animals, you can walk in the areas for foreign animals. It is a pleasant, interesting and fun place. Some animals, like the chimpanzee babies, make us laugh or get emotional.
This picture was taken to celebrate the end of CMC’s course, which happened in Serra Geral National Park and Aparados da Serra National Park. It was unforgettable because the fog only took 20 minutes, started around 6 AM in Canyon Malacara and then the weather got cloudy the rest of the day.
